What are BTI's Finishing and Assembly capabilities?

Here are some of the most popular questions about our finishing and assembly capabilities.

What are BTI's Assembly capabilities?

Laminating

The laminators in the house can handle both hot and cold lamination processes.

Pick and Place

The pick and place machine is used for placing surface-mounted devices, like LED’s, precisely and quickly. The pick and place machine can also place metal domes with 8.4mm, 10mm, and 12mm from a tube feeder. Tools can be created for larger applications.

Adhesive Application

Out triple dispense machine can accurately apply encapsulants, conductive adhesive, and staking adhesive. Its three dispensing heads make for a highly accurate and speedy application process for epoxy and conformal coating materials.

Connector crimping

Typically, this crimper is used for BERG connectors to printed tails.

Electrical Testing

Our assembly team also uses a wide range of testing equipment like Banair Darren and Dataswitch electrical testing.

What are BTI's Finishing capabilities?

Laser Capabilities

In general, laser cutting can produce finished cut features within +/-0.002” and cut-to-print tolerance of +/-0.005”. Laser cutting does not require hard or fixed tooling and is a great help in expediting the prototyping process. Depending on the laser, the maximum sheet size is 48 inches by 40 inches.

Die Cutting

It offers precision die-cutting, cold and heated embossing. The die can be customized up to 22 inches by 28 inches. Male-female combination embossing tools are used to produce pillow, rail, and combination features on various plastic substrates.

Butler Technologies’ laser and die-cutting capabilities enable us to produce gaskets, ESD shields, or flame-retardant insulators to fit almost any application. Whether your application requires closed-cell foam, neoprene, copper, aluminum, polyester, or any variety of materials, Butler Technologies can fulfill your die-cutting needs.
